Braces is not a nasty business

Assalamualaikum and a very good morning :)

as you can see, my entry title is about braces right?

yeah I will make a review on braces again, yes again ;)

many of my friends were doubt on their choice to wear braces. tell me why?! okay, chill. I, whole-heartedly will tell you about braces and my experience wearing it but only the basic things. You, who read this, might want to use braces right? you feel so excited yet so terrified to wear braces right? Well, don't need to terrified meh

Have you ever heard of this sentence? "To get what you want, you will need a huge sacrifices". Hold on to that words. It's useful.

okay, firstly I want to tell you which orthodontic specialist I went. Tadaaaaaaaaa… haha what tada? I went to Hong Specialist. IT'S A FIVE STAR CLINIC, below is the clinic card and of course my appointment card. You are welcome to zoom in for the consultation hours and days, address, telephone number and also fax number. So, the  people who seek for the best braces specialist especially across Johor Bahru and Singapore should come to Hong Specialist :)

The card, attention! the clinic close every tuesday and wednesday. Dr. Hong achievement : BDS (SINGAPORE), FRACDS(AUSTRALIA), MDS ORTHODONTICS(SINGAPORE), M ORTH RCS (EDINBURGH), MDO RCPS(GLASSOW), FAMS ORTHODONTICS(SINGAPORE), AM(MALAYSIA), FICD(USA), FICCDE

Now that you gain few info about the specialist, you should pick up a suitable day for you to come over and make your very first appointment. First, you come and set the next appointment date. Just so you know, Dr Hong have a lot of (I repeat a lot of) patients so don't consider your first visit to the clinic means you can meet the doctor already. Huhu in your dream lah. Pick a suitable date for your first appointment.

The very first appointment of yours is the doctor will consult you and give you advice. The doctor will check your overall mouth condition. He will fix the price, usually between 6k till 12k. 12k means your teeth is very horror lol but surely your teeth will be better sooner. If your teeth does not have many problem, then the price between 6k-8k. For me, my father paid around 6k and a half. I was SSI student before, so it's a benefit to me. The doctor's children's are schooling there too so Dr. Hong kind-heartedly give discount for SSI students. He is  a gentleman! Okay, so my teeth problems are lot of gap between the teeth and 6 mm of protruding. Afterwards, the front and side pictures of your head will be taken for his reference and the x-ray is next. Don't worry, nothing hurts you.

Next, if the doctor asked you to make tooth extraction, you need to do so. Trust me, it's aint hurt at all. I was numb, lol. Don't be scared with tooth extraction, only children who scared. No worries, what you should do is go to a trusted dentist.  As for me, I went to Yang Dental Surgery, below is the card that you can go through. I rate 5 star! I did tooth extraction twice at the same day without any feeling of hurt, it was amazing! Dr. Yang is every inch of gentleman and he is Dr. Hong's friend. I wore a mask after the extraction. Hahaha just to make sure people don't screaming after  they saw my mouth. The extraction place was corked with white cotton. So I look like a vampire.

The next phase after two week you are done with tooth extraction is the braces time! haha I am sure you will be excited to the max! You will wear braces. Choose the colour that will make your eyes fall out of it's place. My experience based on colour choosing is, when you choose darker colour, the colour will be long lasting whereas if you choose lighter colour, err it will fade out because of the total FOOD CHEMICALS. haha trust me! Btw, my favourite colour are darker turquoise, red and pink! when I combined turquoise with pink the colour come out oohh lala! haha orange great too! choose as you like! Experiment with colours!

After your first time of wearing braces, it will be the first pain, haha does that sound nasty? Yea you will not be able to munch anything except drink water and eat liquid formed food haha! it felt like you was punch in your face and your teeth going to extract from its root but just remember what I said, sacrifices is everything. A lil bit of sacrifice today make a great tomorrow. haha can I be a philosopher? After a few days, you can eat back chicken a usual, rice or more greater, the ribeye steak! haha! The appointment will be set once in a two month times. Below is the picture of braces with band on upper teeth and below teeth is the braces without band on the bracket. I think, with the band on, it will help to produce greater force to pull the inner or molar teeth. It's nasty a lil bit of course. No worries, you can go through it!

Don't you ever dare to eat bubble gums!

When wearing braces, you can actually control your food intake! haha. you'll eat softer and munch the food many times. Brush you teeth carefully. If your bracket extracted, meet the doctor! so don't eat hard food and don't eat too fast. If I may add, don't you ever dare to eat bubble gums if you don't want to mess with the doctor! After you wear braces depends on years fixed by doctors, your braces will be open. Goodbye braces! You will miss it a lot! I swear! though it make you hard to eat and etc, it's the best things you will experience is, the braces make your face extra cute! haha. trust me again that people will miss to see you with braces! as it happened to me, hahaha

After your braces RIP, you will wear a retainer. Yeah, it's a must. to make sure your teeth fixed at it's new place. Approximtely, two years of wear with 4 phase of using ways. First six months, 24/7 of wearing time. Next six months, half day you can wear at night, half day you can wear during morning only and so on. I wore the invisible retainers which is super great cause it's almost invisible! But, I need to open it like every time I want to eat, floss and brush my teeth. However, it's easy to open the retainer and to use it again. As I said before, a lil bit of sacrifices is a must. haha remember that!

I am currently using the invisible retainer and I love it!

easy to use but once lost you need to pay 300 bucks!

setelah sekian lama tak update blog, hari ni dengan kerajinan yang boleh tahan, terasa nak update blog pulak haha. So, let's proceed with my book review!

Okay, buku ni specialised untuk perempuan yang ingin menutup aurat dan ingin tampil cantik. Tapi nanti bukan baca sangat pun sebab penulis banyak letak gambar yang mengandungi seribu satu cerita bila dihayati betul2. Tu kata penulislah. The writer herself travelled across the big cities to travel and capture inspiring shillouete of woman in hijab. The big cities for instance are Indonesia, Singapura, Malaysia and Thailand. 

Mengikut buku ni, perempuan berhijab juga layak dan perlu tampil cantik kerana bukankah Allah juga mencintai keindahan? haaa, maka kita boleh tampil cantik dgn pakaian yang indah dan terbaik tapi, tapi, still jaga aurat dan mengikut hukum syara' inshaaAllah. Few guidelines untuk mereka yang baru berhijrah untuk berhijab:

• Firstly, make sure tajdid/betulkan niat untuk pakai tudung. Semuanya lillahi ta'ala, baru semuanya lancar jika diizinkanNya. Ask yourself, are you wearing tudung either you want to follow the trend or because of Allah? Tengok tudung, tanya niat.
• Secondly, cari pakaian yang menutup aurat yang bermaksud pakaian yang longgar dan tidak mengikut bentuk tubuh, kain jenis opaque/tak jarang/jarang tahap boleh cover punya.
• Thirdly, pakai hijab yang boleh cover your chest. Make sure hijab tu fully cover it, you know what I meant, pretty!
• Fourth, jangan pakai anak tudung yang terlalu ketara bonggolnya. Kalau boleh sanggul lah bawah telinga. So takdelah ketara sangat sanggul tu.
